Are you having trouble with your hot water supply? Is your water heater relief valve dripping water? If you have a “closed loop” system, the problem could possibly be the pressure generated from the hot water coming from your water heater.
About the service
In the past, the expanded water would return to the main supply line, which released the pressure. However, due to the need to prevent contamination from going back into the supply line, changes have been made. On newer water heaters, there is a check valve which prevents this from happening and the pressure builds up, creating a plethora of issues.
An expansion tank is the answer to relieving the pressure that is building up and causing trouble with your water heater and your plumbing system. A water heater expansion tank is another small tank that is attached to the water supply pipe of the water heater. Expanding water from the water heater flows into the expansion tank, relieving water pressure in the system.
We can install an expansion tank or provide service and repairs to your existing one. At Bradley Plumbing Systems, we are proud to be the trusted plumber in the Arvado, CO area. We are licensed and insured and have over 20 years of experience in the plumbing industry.
